Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck and trailer.
- Load and unload various materials, including dirt, gravel, and asphalt, using skid steers or forklifts.
- Safely operate the vehicle on diverse terrains and job sites, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Ensure cargo is securely fastened and distributed correctly to prevent shifting.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, as well as a clean truck bed after every shift.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and cargo status.
- Complete all required DOT paperwork and logs accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of weight limits, load securement regulations, and traffic laws.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including climbing and lifting heavy items.
- Current Medical Certificate and eligibility for DOT drug screening.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
