Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery documentation (DVIR).
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors to coordinate schedules.
- Ensure the truck bed is cleaned and maintained in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with necessary endorsements.
- A current, valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dump trucks in a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of local Indianapolis roadways and geography.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual labor.
- Excellent safety record and defensive driving skills.
