Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport (asphalt, gravel, debris)
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Coordinate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading
- Operate in diverse weather and construction site conditions
- Report mechanical issues and assist with minor repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years dump truck experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic equipment maintenance knowledge
- Strong navigation skills in Chicago metro area
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
