Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan optimal delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and time constraints
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
- Handle secure cargo documentation and verify shipment accuracy upon delivery
- Implement defensive driving techniques in high-traffic urban environments
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions
