Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers (Dry Van and Flatbed) to transport freight throughout the Midwest and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify mechanical issues.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure the safety of yourself and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Otr or Local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT Drug Screening certification.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and bending/stepping frequently.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
