Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and parcels to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper vehicle maintenance.
- Interact professionally with customers, including verifying delivery addresses and obtaining signatures where necessary.
- Load and unload merchandise accurately, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and secure fastening.
- Utilize handheld technology to track deliveries, update status, and handle digital proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging deliveries and managing routes.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
