Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Washington DC
- Verify delivery details and obtain proper signatures using our mobile tracking system
- Maintain clean and organized delivery vehicle with daily inspections and maintenance checks
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions and handle delivery-related inquiries
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service and maximize fuel efficiency
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle concerns, or traffic patterns to dispatch promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by company policy
- Reliable transportation to and from designated shift location
