Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and navigate Chicago metropolitan routes efficiently
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to ensure zero damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service while resolving delivery-related inquiries
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate in all weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
