Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver packages to residential and commercial destinations along established routes within the designated time windows.
- Verify delivery contents and obtain valid electronic signatures or photos upon completion.
- Interact professionally with customers, resolving any delivery issues or complaints with a positive attitude.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and mechanical safety of the assigned delivery vehicle.
- Utilize handheld devices and GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and manage time efficiently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or incidents immediately to the fleet manager.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a standard state driver's license (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record with no major infractions (DUI, reckless driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Proficient in using smartphone applications, tablets, and GPS navigation systems.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
