Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated residential and commercial locations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care and protected from damage.
- Verify delivery information and obtain signatures as required for proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide excellent customer service to every client.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Utilize handheld devices to manage delivery routes and update status in real-time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation systems and smartphone technology.
- Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
