Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to residential and commercial locations in Charlotte, NC and surrounding Georgia areas.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring items are handled with care and placed in the correct delivery zones.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic signatures or proof of delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Utilize a handheld device or app to navigate routes and update delivery status in real-time.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver’s License (Class C) and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using navigation apps and delivery tracking software.
- Reliable transportation to and from the local depot.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adhere to all traffic laws.
