Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers on dedicated routes across Louisiana and surrounding states
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adapt schedules to accommodate flexible hour preferences while meeting delivery deadlines
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of OTR driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights/weekends as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
