Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated routes between Lexington, KY, and regional distribution centers
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, including HOS compliance and pre/post-trip inspections
- Deliver freight on schedule while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Represent the company professionally through courteous interactions with clients and shippers
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated route background preferred
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility for occasional weekend and overnight travel as needed
