Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently over long-distance routes (OTR).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the truck clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Must meet DOT physical requirements and pass a drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
- Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
