Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe and professional manner across long distances.
- Deliver freight to designated locations within strict timeframes and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD), mileage reports, and delivery receipts.
- Load and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage, ensuring proper securement according to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Ability to work flexible hours and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
