Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring secure placement and proper weight distribution.
- Complete all required daily and weekly paperwork, including logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the truck and trailer.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company to customers and the public.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement procedures.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
