Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles for dedicated regional routes in the Washington, DC metropolitan area
- Ensure timely delivery of high-value freight while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for accurate compliance tracking
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and follow all DOT regulations
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years of OTR or dedicated route experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
