Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated routes servicing Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage pre-trip inspections, documentation, and load verification processes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and schedule adjustments
- Optimize routes for efficiency while respecting flexible scheduling parameters
- Represent Coastal Logistics Solutions professionally at customer sites
- Complete timely electronic logging and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (minimum 2 years OTR experience)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of Virginia geography and DOT regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Willingness to operate in various weather conditions
