Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided modern tractor-trailers on dedicated routes with consistent weekly schedules
- Maintain accurate electronic logs, vehicle inspections, and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload freight efficiently with minimal touch points at secure facilities
- Proactively communicate with dispatch regarding ETAs, delays, and route optimization
- Uphold Elite's safety culture through defensive driving and proactive maintenance reporting
- Build client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Participate in quarterly safety training programs and incentive initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and electronic logging devices
- Experience with modern truck technology (telematics, GPS, automated transmissions)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining proactive communication
- Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and weekend shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for preventive maintenance
