Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes (Dallas to Phoenix, San Antonio, Oklahoma City)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient load planning and timing
- Ensure secure handling of specialized freight (temperature-controlled, dry van)
- Uphold Elite Transport's safety standards and zero-tolerance policy violations
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated route background preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging device (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight stays (4-5 nights/month)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
