Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on dedicated regional routes within Louisiana and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks
- Load/unload cargo with precision and proper documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Uphold company safety standards and zero-tolerance policy for violations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with tanker or flatbed endorsements preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of regional geography and weather patterns
- Proficient in using ELD systems and mobile communication tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight trips (3-4 days per week)
