Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on dedicated lanes between Boston, MA and Chicago, IL
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and company safety protocols
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading at partner facilities
- Utilize telematics systems to optimize routes and report maintenance needs
- Represent Boston Logistics Solutions through professional conduct at all customer sites
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-provided)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills for daily check-ins with dispatch
- Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts during peak seasons
