Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents to designated locations using optimal routes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate delivery status via mobile app and customer service protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and inventory management
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Resolve delivery exceptions with professionalism and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate manual transmissions
- Strong knowledge of Metro Detroit streets and GPS navigation systems
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Customer-focused communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
