Driver must be willing to operate in the local region and surrounding areas, including parts of New Jersey and Delaware.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) to transport cargo across the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
