Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all federal and state regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict compliance with DOT standards.
- Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
