Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight across the New York metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and accurate documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure timely arrival.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during night operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverās License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred for specific route requirements.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
