Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time and in perfect condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a clean driving record and a professional image at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
