Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and bills of lading.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the safety of both the driver and the cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes, delays, and delivery updates.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in freight transportation.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of interstate and intrastate driving regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle troubleshooting.
- Reliable vehicle and current medical card.
