Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe, legal, and professional manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring proper securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service.
- Navigate interstate and intrastate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws.
- Ensure cargo is delivered on schedule and in pristine condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, dock personnel, and customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (OJT required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to cross-state lines and handle Hazmat or Tanker loads (preferred).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with electronic logging systems (ELD).
