Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Secure loads efficiently and accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, defensive manner under all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (clean MVR required).
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT hours of service regulations.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
