Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe and efficient manner on regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel regionally within Georgia and surrounding states.
