Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVWR
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Handle secure freight documentation and verify delivery accuracy
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform basic troubleshooting for minor mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of North Carolina traffic laws and hazardous materials handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend deliveries as needed
