Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on long-haul routes across Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and document all vehicle maintenance
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules with GPS routing and real-time tracking systems
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork (ELD compliance)
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient load coordination
- Represent MetroLink Logistics with professionalism during customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and ELD systems
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and route optimization abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
