Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and legally during designated night hours.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles roadways and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
