Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive Class A trucks in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Load and Secure Freight: Efficiently load cargo, ensuring all items are properly secured and balanced for safe transport.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records as required by DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Deliver freight to designated locations on time, communicating effectively with dispatch and receivers.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean Record: Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move cargo, perform physical tasks, and sit for extended periods.
- Legal Status: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
