Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in and around the Omaha metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic dispatch systems, adhering to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT Drug Screen on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and handle cargo straps/chains.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and navigation.
