Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork compliance.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with clean records will be considered.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
