Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Ohio and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous electronic logging compliance
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Manage secure loading/unloading procedures at client facilities
- Optimize delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance metrics
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation and traffic avoidance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
