Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in strict accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and using appropriate tie-downs.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) compliant with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time windows to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Document any vehicle issues or damages immediately upon discovery.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Must include Hazmat endorsement if applicable).
- Absolutely clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- At least 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways, traffic regulations, and bridge classifications.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
