Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) to transport goods safely and efficiently
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and accurate logging
- Plan optimal routes using GPS while navigating urban and highway environments
- Coordinate with dispatchers, receivers, and warehouse staff for seamless deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and inventory records
- Represent Philly Freight Logistics professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia metro area and surrounding regions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging and communication
