Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for nighttime freight transport across designated routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and accurate documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Secure and unload cargo at multiple locations with precision and care
- Maintain clean, organized cab and equipment for optimal performance
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Physical capability to handle freight loading/unloading and pre/post-trip inspections
- Passing background check and drug screening as per federal requirements
- Flexibility for occasional weekend and holiday shifts as operational needs arise
