Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes and manage delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Handle loading/unloading procedures with proper equipment operation
- Document trip details and submit required paperwork promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat compliance (if applicable)
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
