Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) throughout San Diego County and Southwest US
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and pre/post-trip inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and paperwork documentation
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate proactively regarding delays, weather conditions, or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
