Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and complete vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) before and after shifts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report mechanical issues.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized during and after trips.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred for regional, local experience acceptable for some roles).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations or DUIs in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
