Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) within Houston metro and Texas routes
- Load/unload freight with proper documentation and handling procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and delays
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas roadways
- Basic familiarity with ELD systems and route planning
