Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local routes in the Atlanta metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring all freight is handled with care.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of routes.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a commercial environment preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and local roadways.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading.
