Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Maintain clean driving record and logbook compliance
- Handle specialized freight (temperature-controlled/heavy haul) when assigned
- Support cross-state operations including Florida routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of NC/FL highway systems and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
