Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) on long-haul routes between Virginia and Florida
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, including HOS logging and pre/post-trip inspections
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch team
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize route efficiency
- Uphold company safety standards and represent Express Logistics professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of over-the-road trucking experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
