Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including Class A and Class B trucks, to transport cargo to designated destinations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs (DVIR, ELD, BOL) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers at each stop.
- Navigate effectively using GPS and route planning tools to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation purposes.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
