Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) in San Diego County and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulations for on-time performance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload shipments with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with safety protocols
- Assist in training new drivers on company procedures and routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of San Diego geography and California highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overnight shifts
